So I stayed away 4 days. I think that’s pretty good. And I’d expected to ignore you longer, but three factors forced my hand.
First, the girls at Pensblog said hurtful things.
Secondly, the Professor’s in the Hall, where he belongs.
And third, Denver’s foiled again. And this one’s funny.
Updated 1051 EST: Just for fun, read through the list of comments at Russo’s Rant’s blog from last night. Amazing how the tone changed over the course of three hours. Includes a good comment from Matt Saler from OtW.
I put that in quotes because I guarantee those were the exact words shouted, whispered in awe or uttered from father to son accompanied by a hearty back slap last night at 2153 EST.

I’m sure there are a few misguided souls out there who actually believed that (a) Brendan Shanahan would actually, eventually, return to the Wings or (2) Detroit would retire his jersey in homage to his 8 full seasons in Hockeytown.
No on both counts.
Bill Clement's spent about as much time as I, or Andy Strickland for that matter, have in the last year. But that's not stopping him from saying a lack of leadership may be the Wings' downfall this year. MSNBC
I like many of the components of Detroit's team, but when it comes to crunch time there is no longer a Steve Yzerman, a Brendan Shanahan or a Brett Hull to count on.
