I didn’t see the hit on Kopecky, and I didn’t see Downey’s antics, and I didn’t see Rafalski’s body slam of a guy who outweighs him by thirty pounds. No, I wasn’t passed out. Damn you all for thinking that.

Ground rules. Obviously…we need some. Or at least we need a reminder of them. Let me quote from my soon-to-be-released manifesto, “The Difference Between The Diggers and the Wing Bloggers”.
“Red Wing beat writers must avoid any attempt at humor. It doesn’t suit them and it embarrasses us all. If the humor is unintentional and reflects their role as propaganda artists for the organ-I-zation, that’s fine. But an outright attempt to be funny? Absolutely prohibited.”
Someone didn’t get the advanced copy.
I’ve decided I don’t like the term “blogosphere” anymore. Kind of like “Michigander” or “diet”. Not real fond of those two either. So, this will be the last time you see it at A2Y. Henceforth and thusly, any time I present to you a conglomeration of views in one sloppy post I will title it “Stealing From My Friends”.
I sense that you are apprehensive. Apprehensive like a transvestite Dive fan caught in Raleigh at 0130 on a Tuesday? No, but understandably wary. Me too. Here we go.
Jeremy Bonderman’s hurt. The Lions have begun their trek to glory. Tiger Woods won again and I’m sure a redneck drove pretty fast before taking his sister out for a romantic dinner. So finding Wing news today may be tough.
But not as tough as it was a month ago. Thankfully.
Update 2120 CST: Mike Babcock said Kronwall had a slight groin strain prior to tonite and it apparently flared up a bit. They held him out of the third as a precaution. Babcock says he should be fine for Tuesday. Wings take the first of an eight-game season series from Little Brother Bubba. A few details tonite, with a full game recap tomorrow morning * Dominik Hasek's second consecutive shutout, third on the year and 71st of his career. * Wings and Hasek haven't allowed a goal in 153:28 * Wings goals: Lang (5), Lidstrom (3), Cleary (4, EN) * Three Stars: Hasek, Lidstrom, Chelios * Wings now lead Bubba by 4 pts in the Central. Scary news: Kronwall didn't play a shift in the third. Neither the Wing tv or radio announcers have mentioned his absence. NHL.com scoresheet ESPN game recap
