“Well we haven’t won there in forever, so we’re due”, coach Mike Babcock said.
Since 1997.
Being "due" means nothing. If the Wings play like a beer league Team, they're going to lose. Since forever the Wings have not played good enough to win in Philly during the regular season. We've played sloppy, undisciplined, hockey lately, and have made it tighter in the Atlantic with Boston nipping at our heels.
Yeah, "we're due".
I'm "due" to win the Powerball too, cause I haven't won it for a very long time. Yeah, right.
The last regular season win in Philly was on January 25, 1997.
June 7, 1997 was the Cup winning game. D-Mac scored a superb Stanley Cup game winning goal. That was our last win in Philly.
If there ever was a time for our Team to get our mojo back, today would be a good day to start. As Fans, "we're due" for an honest effort from the Coach all the way down to the end of the bench. As Fans, "we're due" a Team that is playing to win, a Team that is "all in" just like us. That is what "we're due."
