Well, We'll Always Have The Lions

11/29/2016 at 6:00pm EST

And when your hopes are pinned on THAT team in November? Well, that's just not good.

If any of you thought I'd be in any condition to Live Blog on Saturday night, then you just don't know me at all.

Thanks to the Emperor for filling in, and I have no doubt he knew he'd have to the minute the first down that wasn't was called a first down in Columbus.

But hey, I'm good. Easily forgotten.

Like 34.7 was forgotten. Like fluttering pucks from hell over a maniac's shoulder in Anaheim was forgotten. Like Max Talbot was forgotten. Like an Yzerman crossbar in '99 and two Osgood miscues in '98. Forgotten like Evans picked off third in '87 and Ortiz going deep, glancing off Tori Hunter's glove. Forgotten like Bird stealing the ball or Rodman tossing up the most ill-conceived jump shot in history. Forgotten like Eddie Murray going wide right or a drunk ref in Dallas picking up a flag that should have stayed down like Creed in II.

But I'm good.

Jimmy Howard is our best goaltender and he's down. He was our best goaltender last year until he got hurt, another groin I believe. Well, maybe the same one. Do we have two? I'm not sure. And was it last year or the year before?

Mediocrity runs together like piss down a leg, in case you didn't know.

I'm not sure that made sense.

Sorry.

It's a Live Blog, bitches.

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
