F’ing hilarious! I my wife would kill me if i spent all that money on jerseys. Awesome!

Nedeljkovic did well in the interview. He actually answered questions without to many blanket monotone answers. Seems like a good guy.
Go Wings!

In once related Detroit news, Canes are talking with UFAs Bernier and Mrazek.

Alex interview:
Alex is downplaying his reunion with D-Boss like it’s just another day in the office.  I think secretly, he’s doing cartwheels and breakdancing on the inside.

He really likes it in Michigan.  He believes in the direction that Yzerman is taking this team.  IMO, I believe he wants to be the man to help take the team back to where it was just a few years ago.

I think we got a great character man in Alex.  He really has his head on straight.  I’m looking forward to him in net, hopefully on Opening Night at the LCA.

Michael interview:
Michael talks like he wants to be a driver this season.  He is aware of his progress and he wants to own his position.  I like it.

Wings are getting guys who are growing into men first and then NHL players.  That maybe a product of Tick Tock’s influence to get players into positions to succeed, but Yzerman wants them to keep getting better with the right people in place to help them grow.

from Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press,

The trade could not be more ideal for Alex Nedeljkovic.

He has an opportunity to establish himself as a No. 1 goaltender on an Original Six team run by a legend. He doesn’t have to move away from his wife for the season. And the neediest creature in the family doesn’t have to interrupt Zoom calls for playtime.

Nedeljkovic was still giddy Friday, not even 24 hours after the trade that sent him from the Carolina Hurricanes to the Detroit Red Wings for Jonathan Bernier and a third-round pick in the 2021 draft.

It was a huge vote of confidence from Wings general manager Steve Yzerman, who sees Nedeljkovic, 25, as a potential building block for the rebuild.

“It’s great to hear that,” Nedeljkovic said. “Steve is one of the greatest players to play the game and the last few years, since he’s been in charge, things have kind of been going in the right direction with this team. I am just very excited to get an opportunity to play and hopefully play a lot and try to turn this organization around and get back to the winning ways of not too long ago.”

The calm beginning made the explosion that much funnier. But when he went to the closet, I spit out my coffee.

“He’s gone. He’s gone. He’ll probably be gone next year.”

Just hilarious.

He is wrong in one aspect though. Bernier is a good goalie.
