I love how Seider respects no one from other teams. Not to mention, he subtly and completely eliminated another Penguin from that scrum who was trying to keep Seider from getting to Crosby. The amount of strength that guy has for such a lean frame is remarkable.

The best part about the Seider scrum with Crysbaby is that he didn’t hesitate for a second to go after Sid when he got the stick to his face. It’s the way he’s been from day one. That tells me his aggressive nature is instinctive and not “manufactured” the way it is with so many players.

I agree. He’s listed at 6’4” and 197 lbs, but he plays a lot “tougher” than that. He’s going to be a joy to watch for years and years.

Seider is going to have to learn a thing or two about
grip and leverage and at least tying up an opponent,
staying on his feet and staying out of range.

Because sooner or later even in 2022 someone is going to
force him into dropping the gloves.

I love his sense and smarts and edge.
The quick shove on Rust was both smart and hilarious.
He doesn’t have to be a scrapper but he is going to need to know
how to defend himself against tougher customers than Crosby.
I can remember Jiri Fischer having to figure this out.
He eventually became a beast. But first real fight he got bloodied
because he didn’t know what he was doing.

Edvinsson sure doesn’t have to be a scrapper either but I love that he’s
done a bit of MMA training. Just makes for a more physically confident player
and one who is less likely to get hurt if someone jumps him.

I don’t see Seider being in a spot where he actually drops the gloves. To me he kind of acts like Chara. Big and tough and people don’t really bother trying to fight him. Now most people don’t bother with Chara because his reach is insane but still.
