Looks like Larkin took a shot to the groin area, now headed to the room.

Was in a lot of pain on the bench, was down in pain for at least a minute or two.

I guess it’s Jeff Blashill who brings out the lethargy in him…

That is why I dislike seeing pros playing in these games. Something bad happens…..Hopefully nothing serious.

USA not generating much offense this tournament, but on the other hand they’ve been guilty of a lot of defensive zone turnovers and loose play.

I guess Alain V. brings out the dirty hits in Mantha.

Wonder if IIHF review hits to the head for further disciplinary action.  I had a Slovak TV feed and after the game thought I heard them refer to disciplinary, but it might just as well have been something about ice cream.

They are reviewing it RWB, could get a game.

Probably no news until tomorrow, it’s late in Slovakia.

No update on Larkin.

KOSICE, Slovakia - Cory Schneider (Marblehead, Mass.) made 33 saves and the United States generated 28 shots on goal, but the U.S. Men’s National Team fell to Canada, 3-0, in its final preliminary-round game of the 2019 IIHF Men’s World Championship.

“The game obviously didn’t go the way we wanted,” said Jeff Blashill, head coach of the 2019 U.S. Men’s National Team and also the bench boss of the NHL’s Detroit Red Wings. “You start the tournament trying to get yourself in the quarterfinals. We’ve done that and now you have to win three hockey games. We’ll put this behind us and move forward.”

The United States closes preliminary-round play with an overall record of 5-1-0-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L) and a fourth-place finish in Group A. Quarterfinal action will take place on Thursday (May 23) when the United States meets Russia, winner of Group B, at Ondrej Nepela Arena in Bratislava, Slovakia. Puck drop is slated for 4:15 p.m. local time (10:15 a.m. ET) and the game will be broadcast live in the United States on NHL Network.

That’s just the other way to see it if you aren’t trying to take a crack at a guy the way Mantha just did.
