The Detroit Red Wings experienced an offensive outburst against a Chicago Blackhawks club that dressed its best players on Tuesday.

Andreas Athanasiou scored two goals and picked up a pair of assists while Thomas Vanek scored twice and contributed an assist in an 8-6 victory at the United Center.

The Red Wings are 5-0 in the preseason.

Athanasiou leads the team with four goals and six points. Vanek has three goals and four points.

Anthony Mantha picked up a goal and two assists. Dylan Larkin and Darren Helm each contributed a goal and an assist. Luke Witkowski scored a goal.
