Abel to Yzerman

Honestly, the best I can hope for is the only logical conclusion.
My fairy tale ends like this...
...the Wings play 14 more games. It doesn't matter how many they lose or win. In a draft position sense, yes it matters. But when it comes to the way we view this team and the way we view this organization, no win-loss total really matters.
My fairy tell includes the season ending quickly, then Ken Holland retiring, or moving himself upstairs equally as quickly.
He won't be fired. The Wings are too classy and too loyal. They'll nudge him, direct him, beg him, shuffle him upstairs like they should have done four years ago.
He refused, of course. That's why Steve Yzerman's in Tampa instead of chomping at the crust to open up a fat ass box of Little Caeaser's.
We lost to Denver, the worst team in the league.
Tonight we play Phoenix, the worst professional organization in North America (unless you talk to Washington Redskin fans).
A loss would not surprise any of us.
It's a Live Blog. 14 more to go. FKH ASAP.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
