In the spirit of Christmas, that holy holiday invented by Santa and loaned out to various religions around the world…we must come together as a hockey family and do what is right for our sport. And as an example that this can, and must, be done?
The world’s most prolific search engine extended an olive branch this morning, which I’ve accepted; for the most glorious of all causes.
@iwocpo Sir, we’ve had our differences. Time for common goal: Making the 2001-02 Red Wings sports team of decade.
Oh hell yes. Vote bitches. Vote I say. You know what’s awesome about this? True hockey fans, those “purists” we’re always hearing and reading about, have a chance to put their money and mouth in the same place. It’s going to be very interesting to see if the legions of Wing haters can find it within themselves to admit what they know to be true, vote with their brains and do what is right. As for you? My suggestion is that you go there now. Vote. Vote again and again. Stuff the ballot boxes as if you were Tiger with a 1 wood.
Three players in one Hall of Fame class. One of the greatest goaltenders in history. One of hockey’s top two defensemen…ever. The greatest coach in professional sports history.
And the greatest Captain of anything ever absolutely willing his team to win on one fauxing leg. Chills bitches. You got ‘em. Now vote. More than ten times.
Oh and a hat tip to Wyshynski for the gesture. Credit where it’s due bitches.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. Your suggestions and critiques are welcome: firstname.lastname@example.org
