The Improved PK And PP The Last Three Games

11/13/2019 at 1:40pm EST

from Ansar Khan of Mlive,

Coach Jeff Blashill cited special teams and goaltending as keys to this run. They are 4 for 11 on the power play and 7-of-8 on the penalty kill in these three games. Bernier has played all three and posted a 2.33 goals-against average and .905 save percentage.

Acquiring Robby Fabbri in a trade with St. Louis has paid dividends early. He has points in all three games, scoring two power-play goals in his debut – a 4-2 victory over Boston – and setting up the game-winning goals in each of the past two games.

“He’s been great,” Larkin said. “He’s a playmaker. He gets the puck and it’s going to someone with a purpose. Adding a guy like that who can make plays and does it a lot … and he’s a crafty guy, he’s been an energy guy and a huge addition.”

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
