The Big Game At The Big House

Yesterday's games had a sit back, reminisce a bit and relax feel to it.

Today, the stress level will be on the upswing once again.

First a few bits-Channel 4, the local NBC affiliate will have a pre-game show on at 12:30pm ET today and CBC/HNIC does too.

Game time is just after 1:00pm ET on NBC and CBC.plus RDS.

Question of the day for Detroit fans, will Jimmy Howard have a bounce back game?

Because of the ice conditions, expect a north/south game and play in front of the net will be crucial.

No matter of the outcome, it should be an enjoyable event to watch.

But, knowing Detroit fans, the stress level will be high and a perfect game will be expected.

It's a live blog bitches on the first day of a new year.

I don’t get NBC sports out here, but I actually forgot how much I hate PeeAir and Mike Milbury.

Where you at now Deuce?  Am I recalling correctly that you were from MQT?

Was from north of MQT.  Keweenaw area.  Packed up and moved to Central Oregon.

w00t.  CBC feed here.  I’m expecting the usual Laffs slant, but at least, it’s more tolerable than the tards at NBC.

Don’t get your hopes up. They were unbearable during the alumni games yesterday. If you were just listening to the audio, you wouldn’t have known that Detroit was even on the ice.

It’s pretty nice for sure.  Job market isn’t great, and the housing market is pretty absurd.  But other than that, great.

Maybe he was referring to the numerous times they get out of position and have to frantically chase the play (usually a two or three on one) from behind.

I guess you could call that an active defense.

Must be one of the other 19 that I remember being from MQT.

My parents were from the Calumet/Laurium area.  I spent a tonne of my childhood up there visiting Grams and Gramps and playing among the poor rock rubble of C&H No.13.
