Seider was already named to the German Olympic team. Yzerman won’t have the option to decide which players go, it’s in the CBA.

I for one, hope Razor doesn’t get to go to the Olympics.
I’d rather see him rest during the break and be able to finish the season strong, without hitting that rookie wall playing his first 82 game pro season.
Even if he does make the Swedish team, he would probably be on the 3rd line anyway.
Just glad he’s in the conversation.

On October 8 Leon Draisaitl, Philipp Grubauer and Moritz Seider have all been selected by Team Germany as their first players for the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. Yeah, well I’ll bet and Germany wants Mo Seider as well. I’ll bet Steve would let them go, he always was a great Canadian leader. Thinking of Raymond, can you see him playing at the World Juniors this year? I think he might be eligible another two years!
