So Far 4 In 2, Why Not 6 in 3?

Yes, the Wings have won their first two games of their western Canada road tour and play the final game tonight in Edmonton before taking a detour through Phoenix on Monday before returning to Detroit for a Wednesday game against these same Oilers.
Before this goes an futher, Paul here, assuming IwoCPO is still without web access. (If he does appear before the puck drops, well, you know what to do.)
You know the Oilers plan to pepper Conklin with shots so the first ten minutes of he game are important for the Wings to stick to their game plan.
Tight defense, take advantage of mistakes by the Oilers and head to Phoenix with a win, any way they can.
6 in 3 could turn in to 8 in 4, so let’s make sure the Wings have that chance.

Datsyuk not even a factor in the shoot out tonight. Anyone else think he’s hurting? He’s been almost invisible of late.

I really don’t like the behind the goal view on shootouts.

No matter the outcome tonight… JMac deserves to start in Phoenix.

frustrating loss. two points for the taking. They weren’t up to the task, plain and simple.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
