You recall, I'm sure, Chris Chelios' comments regarding Ottawa's decision not to re-sign Hasek....
..."Whether Murray was frustrated or Ottawa was frustrated with him, I think personally it’s a stupid move to get rid of Dom because he was playing at the top of his game when he went out.”
Well, Bryan Murray has returned the favor.
Don Brennan/Ottawa Sun
“That’s Chris Chelios. Maybe he’ll be a GM or coach someday, then he will be able to make decisions that impact the future of an organization. There’s no secret. We know Dominik Hasek is a quality goaltender. But you know the reason we let him go.”

. Pretty good stuff, actually. Brennan uses a device we don't see too much amongst our DD's...humor.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. Your suggestions and critiques are welcome: firstname.lastname@example.org
