With the Philadelphia Flyers win in OT today over Pittsburgh, the Columbus Blue Jackets cannot catch them for 3rd in the Metropolitan Division.
So it comes down to this...
If Columbus happens to get just one point tonight, the Wings will need to get two tomorrow afternoon in St. Louis to finish in the first wild card spot.
If Columbus losses in regulation to Florida, the Wings will need at least one point tomorrow.
Columbus holds the ROW tie-breaker so Detroit needs to finish at least a point ahead of them in order to hold the first wild card spot.
If the Wings do finish in the first wild card spot, it will be Detroit playing Pittsburgh in the opening round.
