Not sure if the Wings held a morning skate this morning, but this is the only Detroit related news I saw.
I'll post video of Blashill here if it becomes available.

Damn. That’s ugly except for that 4th line. Loved that 4th line.

Sweet Sassy Molassy what a top line. Or second. Or third. Fourth was a pretty good fourth.

from Ted Kulfan of the Detroit News,
Lucas Raymond and Moritz Seider have had a dramatic impact on the Red Wings as NHL rookies.
Can the Wings be fortunate enough to have another forward/defenseman duo arrive soon and make a similar impact?
They just might.
The way forward Jonatan Berggren and defenseman Simon Edvinsson are playing this season it’s possible they too could bring results.
Seider dominated in the Swedish Hockey League last season. Edvinsson is making a similar impression this winter, rating among the best prospects outside the NHL in the minds of many analysts.

DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today recalled center Gemel Smith from the American Hockey League’s Grand Rapids Griffins and reassigned defenseman Luke Witkowski to the team’s taxi squad from the Griffins.

hey Pauly - yep, Edvinsson and Berggren look like top prospects on the rise -That’s awesome !
But the one OVERWHELMING issue with the Wings these days is that they are;
> Too small/Too soft
> Too weak on the puck and in corners
> ...and WAY TOO EASY to play against !
I love Seider and Edvinsson’s games - and they both fit the bill and will help immensely,..
But even if Berggren and Vrana get in line-up down the road, that still does absolutely nothing to help address the three areas of weakness I noted above.
Stevie needs to address the size/toughness issue up front…and on the back end too (even with Seider and Edvinsson). Man I hope he can do it !
Thanks, Bigfoot

Sucks big time. Watched the Pens last night and they got outplayed by the Kraken, and beat in OT. So this is their second night they will probably beat us 8-0. So will I feel better by watching the Wings tonight or by not watching ? How about just the highlights ??

Casey DeSmith who has struggled this season, in goal for the Pens.

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
