No Vacationing Allowed While In Florida

Two more points on the table tonight, Datsyuk returns, Jimmy in net and Babcock has mentioned he plans to use four forwards on the PP.

Everything is good and let's keep it that way.

Five out of six points the last three games so no need to let it all slip away now.

Olympics are on the horizon, but Sochi can wait.

Win tonight in Sunrise and we will worry about Tampa tomorrow.

It's a busy night for me, trade watch is on until 3:00pm ET tomorrow.

With that...

It's a live blog bitches.

Helm turning into Draper more every day.

Maybe. Mickey Redmond thought Helm hit a Florida stick on the shot. Pretty hard to miss that big open net, but possible.

What a horrible call. Are these the same idiots that officiated the game at home against Vancouver?

Posted by Alan from Atlanta on 02/06/14 at 07:56 PM ET

No, this is a whole new set of idiots.  The NHL has no shortage of them.

If helm had better hands….he’d get oodles of chances as the high forward.

If Helm had hands he’d have been a 1st rounder and the Wings wouldn’t have been able to draft him.

I thought we played well overall. But we should be up by three with as many chances as we had.

Gameplan for the second? The only thing I would change is actually capitalizing on our chances.

Yeah several great scoring chances but like last several season Red Wings tend to wait to opponent to score first. Gotta give Timmy Thomas credit for some great fish out of water saves. Thomas style is refreshing since about 99% of goalies these days are butterfly.

Buffalo GM has stated any player on his team is tradeable. Looking forward to seeing where Michigan boy Ryan Miller lands though he wants a west coast team where his family is now but good luck getting a job in land of Quick, Niemi, Luongo and Hiller.

So no one else is going to rag on Dekeyser for throwing a weak wrister towards the net at the end of the PP that lead directly to the goal?  If Smith had made that play the live blog would be on page 6 by now.

Way to snap that shot Joakim, sigh. Thomas another easy save on high quality scoring chance.
Trade for someone that can score Kenny Holland.
