Dater on Pat Roy’s obvious insanity and inevitable meltdown: “la la la, can’t hear you, la la la, la la la

Every day that Adrian Dater staves off suicide is a net positive for him. His entire career is a cry for help.

Well, when you consider that it certainly wasn’t Bertuzzi’s fault that we were down to begin with, I can’t necessarily lay blame at Bert’s skates.

No, that blame is a steaming pile of something that was left in our goal crease.

What did he say? “Your mother, Trebek?”

Nah, he’s not that clever.

Right, cause no other team or player has ever had THAT happen to them before.

I’ll gladly question some of Holland’s recent decisions, and oh look, most of the wings fanbase has been doing just that the past 2 or 3 years. But not over a routine penalty from a player Dater just happens to hate. Get a life.

Is this the guy that wanted someone to get some on-ice retribution for Buttfugly’s jab at Varly’s mask?

He’s probably too dense to see the irony there.

Statue.  Of.  Liberty.

Now go write up the great Roy’s ranting about time zones, this must be recorded as he is the greatest goalie of all time.  Right?

Just for reference, this is what I said:

@adater At what point do the Avalanche stop being terrib…. oh wait.

to which he replied:

adater ‏@adater 41m
@_Ares_Rising_ 50-45 points, tougher conference. What?

And I said:

@adater 5 points difference, and the Wings have been without a good portion of their talent for quite some time.
@adater Were you actually trying to make a point, or just gloating without fear of retribution? wink

That’s all.

I dunno, Dater.  How’s about you stop giving Wah lapdances?

This is awesome, RedMenace.
I aww that and immediately thought it was a jab at a Winds fan for a comment about his stupidly ironic comments and articles of late. It maks me even happier it was someone from kk th hat gh out him to take the bait and expose his level of douchebaggery

In Bert’s second stint with the Wings, undisciplined penalties have been a rarity. But of course picking out one anecdote to advance a long-dead narrative that Dater’s career was built on is probably more important than analyzing the truth of the situation.

Honestly, if you want to pick on Ken Holland right now, there are plenty of legitimate reasons. Keeping Todd Bertuzzi in the fold is not one of them—Bert has been reliable for this club for years now.

Let’s pick on Holland for the Samuelsson and Tootoo signings, clinging to Patrick Eaves, who, as much as I do like the guy, is well behind the likes of Miller on the depth chart for the role that he can fill. And the elephant in the room is bringing Dan Cleary back, which I liked at the time under the assumption that it wouldn’t cost Nyquist NHL games—but then it did cost Nyquist NHL games, and the rest is history, I was wrong.

Of course, a healthy dose of criticism deserves giving credit where it’s due. The front office is again looking quite good as drafting and developing young players from less advantageous pick positions, especially skilled if somewhat undersized players. The Gustavsson signing is the only thing keeping this season together (other than how utterly, embarrassingly bad the East is).
