Paul here in for IwoCPO who told me he probably would not have internet access until Monday.
The Wings face the Sharks today, who are in the midst of a nine game road trip, (they are 1-2-1 so far) and won’t be back home until February 28th.
We do know San Jose has had Detroit’s number lately and the Wings sure want to get that fixed before the playofffs start.
I look for a high scoring game and have a gut feeling Detroit comes out on top.
Detroit will depend on Lidstrom today for their 23 (2+3=5 or TPH) consecutive home win.
It’s a Live Blog, bit****.

I know this has been discussed before, but how old is Miller? 28 years old, and his hair is already silver and grey. He does play like a grizzled vet, but damn that’s just not fair.

Walkom did everything he could to gift this game to the chum.
But I’m done bitching about Walkom. Time to grab some grub.

Fred Lasher with 6 straight home wins!

Blose only has one game in hand and they are 5 points back, which is nice.
Usually, It’s the Wings that have games in hand and finish the season with an absolute ton of games in the last weeks of the season. For once, the boys will head in the playoffs playing regularly, but not excessively. Dare I say thank you NHL scheduler?

Miller’s age? I worked with a guy that was prematurely gray and he was in his mid 30’s, a family trait with the guys in his family, It’s all in the Genes.

Jmac Reminds me of Tim Thomas. Not that he’s going win vezinas and break unbreakable Hasek records, but that he’s effective and never got a real shot until his team had no other option because of his ugly, unconventional game

Lets be fair to Walcom. He did all he could to keep it close and it was still not enough. 23 and counting!!!
Final Score: Wings 3 Sharks 2 Zebras 1

Meh, it’s not so bad. All the men on one side of my family go grey at a young age, while all the men on the other side of the family go bald early on. Let’s just say I’m glad I got to keep my hair. Especially now that my chronological age finally matches my hair color. I geuss it was kinda weird having greying hair in my thirties though.

Milbury = snarky @$$hole. “Hey, gettin’ a little puffy now that they’re 23 in a row at home, wouldn’t you?”

Kate, I never understood Cherry’s obsession with Jumbo Choke. Take a gander at the NHL stat sheet and, whoa, looky there, Pavel Datsyuk (one of Detroit’s very own soft Euros) has almost three times as many hits as that overgrown turd-bag this season.

“Sometimes the best players you can get are the players you already have. Players come to Detroit and become better players. Cleary, Eaves, Miller. ” - the comatose Paul Woods with Ken Kal.

It’s because the Wings beat the Bruins on the home winning streak record and we all know what a disgusting copter sex that guy has with the Bruins.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. The amount of blatant penalties San Jose was allowed to get away with in the third was disgraceful.
