Abel to Yzerman

Injuries, injuries(does it ever end?)

As far as injuries go, that cannot be what defines us. In some respects, it has to be the motivator. Like last season. More pie, anyone?

Sorry for going all Blabcock on ya'll.

Blah, blah, blah.

It's a Live blah, blah, blah, blah, Blog. Bitches!

Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!

This has to be the lowest of the lows, right?

It gets better from here on out, right?

It’s bad enough the refs are sucking up a storm with the calls and lack there of so far, but then to cause a Detroit turnover because he’s wandering halfway up the boards for some reason that leads to a Ducks goal is just ridiculous.

Yeeeehaw, it’s 1985.

Posted by MoreShoot on 12/17/13 at 08:15 PM ET

Except we don’t have Kocur and Probert to respond with.

It might get better. Maybe we’ll get lucky and Q will get suspended. All our defenseman are playing like pylons, though..

No, this could be happening on 12/21 (the darkest day of the year).

Of all years, the year they get a game at the Big House on New Year’s Day, they are playing their worst hockey in almost thirty years.

Oh well, it was bound to happen some time. We held off inevitability for years, much to the chagrin of our detractors.

I am really disappointed in the Monster. I thought he started off the season very strong and confident. The last few games he has looked awfully average.

Oh well, at least we still have Ji ...Mr…

Anyone have Rogie Vachon’s cell number?

All better now.

Proverbial Chinese fire drill in the Wings defensive zone.  What a strategy:  pin the Wings long enough defensively to force a line change thus negating any offensive rush by the Wings.

‘86 Wings sucked but they were fun to watch imo. Probert, Kocur, Gallant, Loiselle and a bunch of other tough sobs and young Adam Oates and Stevie Y. Klima and Johnny O led the team in goals scoring over 30.

Tonights game should be no surprise no anyone.
Injuries aplenty but Kenny Holland better have thinking cap to right this ship.
Very disturbing how badly they have been owned at The Joe, injuries not the only excuse.

Maybe this is just the sort of game we need to right the ship.

At least we managed to not allow them to score four more in the second?

If there’s a bright spot to be found, it’s the kids getting ice time at the big league level…. and Jurco’s first NHL goal.
