Hey 19! Wake Up, It’s Noon, Time For A Game

I've heard rumors some of you enjoy a few adult beverages here and there, especially on the weekend, so this is my attempt to get you up and ready for puck drop at 12:37ish pm EDT.

Howard starts, Gustavsson's groin a problem so Mrazek backs-up.

I don't anticipate any changes to the lineup but since no morning skate today, we won't find out until just a few minutes before the game starts.

The Rangers look a little different since the Wings last played them, Martin St. Louis in, Ryan Callahan out.

Lundqvist in goal and the Rangers ar 6-3-1 in their last ten games.

Detroit is now 5 points behind the 3rd place Toronto Maple Leafs in the Atlantic Division but do have 2 games in-hand.

The Wings also trail the Tampa Bay Lightning, the first wild card team by 3 points but have played one less game than the Bolts.

Four teams are looking up at Detrot, all within 1-4 points behind the Wings.

So another can't afford to lose game will be played today.

Tighten up the defense boys, score some goals, leave Broadway with a win.

Simple!

Enjoy the live blog bitches.

To think I actually used to complain about Bill Clemente and Gary Thorn calling the games on ESPN.  What I wouldnt give to have that hockey coverage back.

For as much as they used to gobble the Avs nuts, they were so much better than DC and Olczyk

Sorry, I’m late, 19.  Thanks, Boss.

Checking in to see a nil-1 Rags lead.  And Howie in net.  And RSV.  Just ZERO confidence in Howie now.

I’m glad these announcers aren’t reffing the game.  Rags would have about 30 PP’s by now

Dear Gord, I can’t find any other stream NOT delivering NBCSN.

And automatically, I mute the sound.  Just force of habit.

I can’t recall any time, in the past, such a marked bias in the broadcasting. It is way over the line today.

I don’t know of any other goalie who constantly makes his team play from the back end of the scoreboard.  No wonder we look so dysfunctional.

Wings looking sluggish. How can anyone think this is a nonbiased nation broadcast ?  Still not out of it in a 1 shot game as Mickey says LGRW

Someone needs to get the NYU physics department out to the Garden to investigate how Newton’s 3rd law of motion is constantly being broken in this game.  A Detroit player contacts a New York player and somehow the Rag exerts a force in the opposite direction ten times the magnitude of the original every time.

Eddie OldChick drinking game rules:

Participants must take a drink for any of the following.

1. “Forehand, backhand” - this one alone will get you drunker than a loon.
2. “subtle interference” - seems to be used only in games involving the Red Wings, but trust me you’ll be blasted by the first intermission.
3. “legal interference” - see above.
4. “shoulda been a penalty on (fill in name of Detroit player)” - better have lots of booze on hand for this one.
5. any mention of a Detroit goal that went in the net because it “hit a patch of ice” - special rule, two drinks for this.

I encourage all 19 of you bitches to add your favorites.

End of the 2nd period there, Wings STANDING AROUND IN THEIR OWN END AGAIN.  So sick of repeating it and seeing it.  Until they stop doing that, they’re going to end every period poorly.
