from Ansar Khan of Mlive,
Henrik Zetterberg is proud to have his name alongside Ted Lindsay's on the Detroit Red Wings' career goal-scoring list.
Zetterberg appreciates all that Lindsay has done, not only as a Hall-of-Famer, but for future generations of players by spearheading efforts to create a union in the 1960s.
Zetterberg scored the deciding goal in the Red Wings' 3-1 victory Saturday over the Carolina Hurricanes at Little Caesars Arena.
It was his 335th goal, tying him for fifth place with Lindsay on the franchise's all-time list.
"It's a number that I've been looking at for a while and it's special to have with him," Zetterberg said. "He meant a lot for a lot of players, not just for this team but what he did with the PA and all that. We wouldn't be in this spot where we are now if it wasn't for him."
