Got Cake? We’re Gonna Live Blog It

Look.  Richard Harris was "A Man Called Horse".  Have you seen it? You should.  He was a bad, bad man. A tough man.  So, why then--in 1968--did he feel the need to sing a song like MacArthur Park?

It's an age-old mystery, rivaled only now by this question:

Why would Ryan Suter and his BFF Zach Parise go to Minnesota where they'll never win anything more than a division crown (if that) when they could have gone to Detroit or Chicago or Pittsburgh, where Cups would have been guaranteed?

Someone left the cake out in the rain

I don't think that I can take it

'Cause it took so long to bake it

And I'll never have that recipe again, oh no

He left his frigging cake out in the rain.  And he can't take it.  Why? Because it took so damn long to bake it.  And now the Ingalls sisters are in Walnut Grove with the barn dances and the one-room schools and that little bitch Nellie Olson running roughshod over the whole damn town.  No Cups, but plenty of family and love and cake.

And now they're here (in Detroyet) tonite, where they could have been all along.

Confusion rules the day when it comes to Dick Harris, Horse, horrible songs and the Ingalls sisters.

It's a Live Blog, bitches.  LGRW.

Next time, Canadiens v Bruins.  Yes, THAT is a rivalry.

Now it’s a statement win against the Wings. NBC is just a waste of electricity now. Good night 19.

I propose a new team system.

when the Wings forwards score, the three guys on the ice are now the #1 line.  they get the #1 line minutes until another forward line scores, then they are the #1 line…

might as well.  nothing else is working.

I feel like I’ve seen that exact game too many times before over the passed three years or so.

I’m out of words, 19, for the incompetence of the break out passes through the neutral zone.  For four years now, the Wings - with all of that glorious talent - can’t find themselves out of a predatory forecheck deep in their own zone.

Tonight, they just could not get a grip on connecting the fundamentals.

This season, I’m sorry, we’re gonna say goodbye to the playoffs.  Nothing is working.

Well, I’m giving myself a day off from stressing about the Wings.  Going to see the Tigers in Lakeland.  Verlander is pitching.  Woo-hoo!

Two losses in Anaheim this weekend and they will be back in the draft lottery. Only seven points separate the Wings from last place in the conference. That number one pick is so tantalizingly close.

It’ll probably be worse than that.

Worse? You perfected your predictive Injury algorithm?

Given that ANA does not have a 60min loss in their last ten, reasonable expectations for points this weekend are hovering around zero.

It would be tough to beat Florida for the worst record and most balls in the lottery. But 28th or 29th place is still a realistic possibility.
