GDT - Game #45:  Red Wings host Sabres (7:30)

DET (28-15-1) will try to make franchise history tonight with a 15th consecutive home victory.  Coach Babcock thinks the streak is spiffy, and all: “I want to win tomorrow. For me, that’s how simple it is.  It’s always nice to have streaks and all that, but you need to get two points.”

BUF (19-20-5) have lost eight straight road games in regulation for the first time in franchise history. The Sabres are 7-13-5 in their last 25 overall.  The Sabres road losing woes are explained by the fact they sit dead last in road scoring, managing only 36 road goals, 1.9 per game. Conversely, the Wings lead the league in scoring at home, averaging 3.9 per game.

The Wings are going for franchise history tonight and are unstoppable at home, BUF is inept on the road.  Something smells fishy.

Yep, it does smell fishy. It seems that when we face teams that are struggling, their mojo just goes dead…I hope I am wrong! And it’s about time Z gets a goal!!!!!!What is wrong with him? Personal issues? Injury? Lack of conviction and effort or just a really bad break?

Thanks, Okie!

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Z.  He’s playing center and does a great job of feeding the puck to Fill-A-Pool-A and the Midget.  And how about that highlight reel shoot out goal against the Yotes?  It’s not fair to compare his goal scoring to the seasons when he was playing the wing with Pav at center.

Scary scenario tonight - one of those games the Wings “should” win.  Hope our Miller boy gets a goal against his brother.  And hope the team is motivated to: 1) keep the home win streak going and 2) grab those two points!

LET’S GO RED WINGS !!!!!

See Rumbear, occasionally being an “old-timer” isn’t a bad thing.

Funny, just funny.

Thanks, Jeff.  Good to see the GDT this morning.

The Wings are going for franchise history tonight and are unstoppable at home, BUF is inept on the road.  Something smells fishy.

I didn’t see any game notes online as to who will be reffing tonight’s game.

Won’t be able to make the LB tonight as the Wranglers are playing an afternoon matinee (who the hell schedules these things???  Damn.).  And the sportsbook is retarded about getting the NHL scores up on the big board while every friggin’ screen is on a treeball game.
