GDT - Game #39:  Red Wings at Stars (8:00)

Really quick and dirty GDT today.  DET (24-13-1) take their 18th ranked road record (9-11-0) to DAL tonight to begin a four game road trip [you can do the math - all but two of DET’s losses occurred on the road]. While the Wings have won 12 straight at JLA, they have lost six of nine on the road heading into this trip.

The Stars (21-15-1) are struggling to keep pace in the Pacific, and just looking at the numbers it is no wonder why. They are upside down in scoring (-0.21 goal differential), have poor special teams (15.2 PP (21) and 81.2 PK (22), and give up the most shots in the league (32.1 SA/G).  However, DAL is coming off an impressive 4-2 win against BOS.  Kari Lehtonen needed to make only 18 saves, and DAL scored two PP goals to end a four game, 0-for-11 drought on the PP.

Homer and Helm are still out.  LGRW and Let’s Go Blue.

The wife and I are in town for this one, then heading to Detroit for my first game at the JLA next week (Chicago).  Hope the wings win tonight so I’m not afraid to get on the plane next week!

LGRW and Let’s Go Blue.

Thanks, Okie!

Will probably not LB tonight as I want to watch the Sugar Bowl.  Can’t believe the Wings are on Versucks - I was going to watch the Wings on gamecenter and the football game on TV.  Oh well.  Will watch football muted and listen to Ken and Paul

LET’S GO RED WINGS !!!!!

Thanks, Jeff.  Short and sweet.  I like it.

Good to see the rookies on the fourth line again.  Hopefully, they play well enough to give Uncle Mike more pleasant headaches.

No one, just NO ONE, has a deeper corps of forwards in the NHL.  Wings are just overstocked with talented forwards.

The only good thing about the game being on the new NBC sports Network is that I’m guaranteed HD.

Thanks for the GDT and Let’s Go Red Wings!!!!!

they have lost six of nine on the road heading into this trip.

Time to change that trend. Law of averages and all that crap.

Thanks OAkie.
