I’ll repeat what I posted in TMR… one shitft at a time and focus on the game at hand.
The standings will take care of themselves if the boys can take care of business tonight, they can worry about tomorrow when tomorrow gets here and the same with Saturday.

Posted by Hootinani on 04/24/13 at 09:05 AM ET

According to Nick Kypreos:

#NHL does consider elbow thrown by #Kings Captain Brown on #Wild Pominville as suspension worthy. A hearing is expected as early as today

Minnesota’s not pushing for one, and they have good reason.

Frankly, and maybe one reason why Yeo was restrained after the game, the Wild probably doesn’t want L.A.’s captain suspended. The Kings play in Detroit on Wednesday.

Ah, well, its probably better if they dont suspend him

Every freaking time a minor league comes up to play the Wings, he manages to score his first NHL goal

It is necessary to look at the larger standings as our playoff opponents are themselves locked in a race for Home Ice.  LAK and SJS and STL are not taking these games lightly, especially after the results of last night which balled those 3 teams up.  Not only that, LAK and SJS play each other the last game of the season on the NOTLD that could possibly determine Home Ice against each other in the first round.

I want to disagree, but why not…it’s not like Nyquist and the rest of that line have been basically the only consistent energy in we’ve had in the last 2 weeks…

In all seriousness, I know it’s not going to happen, but am I wrong in viewing Cleary as an utter waste of space these days? He does absolutely nothing except for the one pass last game to Flip.

A closer look at the 8th place race.  A huge win by Wild and big loss by Dallas.

Detroit has a chance to leverage that game in hand to take control of the last playoff position… For 24 hours.

Make hay tonight, playing LA on their back to back, because we play back to back tomorrow, then go on the road.

.

.

The remaining Western Conference schedule, the possibilities are still too much.  You want to concentrate on just winning tonight, but can’t help looking ahead at the huge Dallas vs Columbus game.  If the Wings win out those teams are irrelevant.  That’s a BIG IF !!

Just to add to the rest of the league wants the Wings to miss the playoffs conspiracy, it’s funny how almost every other back to back the Kings played this year had Quick playing the first and Bernier the second.  Yet Bernier played last night, and I can only suspect we’ll see Quick tonight.

Agreed.  Bert in for Cleary, gives Z someone to create space who can actually also hold the puck and make plays.  Let Cleary bump Tootoo down/out.

The replays and impressions of the Brown hit vary widely as expected depending on watching the Kings or Wild broadcast.  The last view of the hit in the Wild video here is pretty damning, is not seen in the Kings broadcast linked in Khan!‘s article.

The Kings crew debates that Brown was preparing himself to get hit by Pom’ville, who may have lowered his head into the hit.  The last view on this Wild video looks pretty intentional by Brown.

NHL, Inc., discipline is entirely situational, team, and player dependent.  The fact that Pomenville skated off on his own power shouldn’t be taken into consideration, but will.  The lesson is to give the impression to the NHL that the player was nearly killed and will miss 162 games.

UGH, not this crap again…..

WTH?  Whatever chemistry that exists on this team at the present has been an elusive thing.  Why would you bring back either of these two with a handful of games left? Bert is not healthy, but helps in a shoot out. That presumes we can muster a tie. Sammy can’t skate, shoot, or dress himself and he brings what….the dreaded shot to the glass from the blue line?
