The Wings think they will still make the playoffs. I think they better get up of their millionaire A$$es and prove it.

Thanks OKie.

Bitches.

Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!

I think we could know by Saturday if the rest of the season is viable.  Drop both tonight and tomorrow’s game, and they can coast the rest of the way.  So let’s get it done.

It will be hard to watch Stu in a Snarks (yes, deliberate misspelling there) jersey.  I totally understood why he left and respect him for it, but I sure do miss him.

downer

I guess every game falls under the category of “must win” at this point.  So dammit, Wings, just WIN!

Wally on the third line… hmmm… GOOD.  And Brunner is back.  GOOD.  But why Cleary?  I sure would rather see Patty Eaves on that line.  Oh well - guess that’s why I’m not making the big bucks as a coach.

Thanks, Okie.  See you all this evening!

LET’S GO RED WINGS !!!!!

Well, if DeKeyser can grow 15 or 20 lbs and learn to throw a hip check, you might not miss him for long.

One prediction.  A Raffi Torres cheapshot.  And he’ll get suspended for said cheapshot.

Thanks as always Okie.
Poor timing as usual to play the sharts after their thrashing from the BJ’s Monday.

Someone needs to knock the pickleman Vlasic down a notch or 2 after what he did at the end of the game against Z their last game. Toots or Abby; you know what to do.
Time for this team to stop making excuses and start the playoffs TOO-DAY.
I’m going to miss the L-Bee tonite due to my own beer league playoff game. Time of year give it all you got left to give. Ya hear me Wally,Ass,and all you “veteran” d-men?

The whole conference here.  There is a legend.

Phoenix has points in 7/8 games.  Detroit has 4 points in 6 games.  Good thing Edmonton has lost 4 in a row.

This is only teams 3 -13.

living in the area, watch a fair share of Sjarkies games.  Stewie has not looked the same this year, as he did in a Winged Wheel.  could be time needed adjusting to new system, players, etc.  I cry myself to sleep after each game watch.. =D

Brent Burns is still… hot!  keep a man on em!  (he loves to sneek down the wing)

Dvr time for me… enjoy the game bishes.

Thanks to you also RW for your POS clusterfuch. Only teams that appear out of it are Trashville and the Oil. Hopefully the Wings can catch fire in a bottle in Calgary like they did the last time they were regulated to the lower bowels of the POS in 2010. That game on 3/15/10 was the game we won by hard work and trepadation with a late game 5 on 3 pk of course .  smirk

there’s something interesting about the second POS chart.  for a while now the Wings have been bouncing between the 8th and 9th place lines.  everyone behind them has been consistently below it.  none of the teams behind the Wings have been above the 9th place line in the last 10 games.

Yes, Yes.

Back about the first POS chart a few weeks ago I suggested that a lot of teams were suffering from no camp and compressed schedules, it looked to be the worst 9th place finisher in recent years.  I think at the time Dallas was headed for 49 points (84 pts).  Despite several short win streaks by different teams they’ve all stayed below the historic 9th place trend.

Maybe it’s just that Chicago and Anaheim are just killing it, Chicago is headed for a season equal to 133 points, gobbling up everything and leaving no points on the table for mediocre teams.

It could be the fruition of Gary Bettman’s dream, making a whole league of mediocre teams.

A week ago I made a shadowed box 6 points high to show where Detroit could be after a weekend of 3 games in 4 nights.  They largely tanked with just 2 points, so I won’t bother putting up a window of opportunity again with that same 3 in 4 nights.

it’s too aggravating watching them waddle along, just begging for someone to pass them the last week.

I don’t care.  Every time I see those charts I think of SJ last year or the year before when they went like 1 pt in 10 games and had this super-long flat-line on the chart.  It makes me laugh every time.

How these playoff race charts aren’t everywhere on the internet this time of year boggles me.  They’re wildly-entertaining.  I can’t imagine how every fanblog and site doesn’t have one.

Thanks for the comments.  I was actually wondering whether to keep putting them up, or almost daily.  I like playing around with them but that doesn’t mean everyone does.

I have a couple of other looks but won’t bother cluttering up the place.

Primis I have a “not hot” chart with 4 or 5 teams all flatlining, unfortunately the Wings are on there with 4 points in 6 games!  Ouch.

RWBill -

You should get someone to write you some code that pulls your charts/data from a server and allows people to embed them on their sites, maybe include a small ad in with it to get some revenue going.  I bet it’d be insanely-popular among all the cool blogs and even the non-Wing ones.

1. WRITE CODE
2.  ???
3.  PROFIT!

Or not.

They were in what, 8th at one point around Game 24?  And then the wheels came off…  good times.  A great line to just go flat.
