GDT - Game 16: Red Wings (7-6-2) at Nashville (7-4-5) 8:00

DET have blown 2-0 leads in two of their past three games and are winless in three (0-2-1) heading into tonight's tilt at Nashville. They haven't scored a goal in the third period in each of their past three games, registering only 14 shots combined. Being 0-for-26 on the power play in six road games won't help matters much.
NSH cannot score, posting a league low 2.06 G/G. But when you have Pekka Rinne as a backstop, it just doesn't matter; in his last four games he has been a wall, 0.57 GAA, and a ridiculous 0.974 save%.
This one could be really ugly. LGRW

The Red Wings are 0-for-26 on the power play in six road games. That led to some shuffling in practice. The first unit consisted of Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Tatar up front.
The second unit had Filppula, Cleary and Brunner up front, Ian White and Jakub Kindl at the points.

The Euro Triplets were responsible for both goals last game. Keep that in your hip pocket if we need one to tie.

Well - hope springs eternal. We can’t keep up the bagel on the PP on the road forever can we?

All I can do is hope that at the end of all this.. They don’t resign Cleary. Buckets offers nothing.. Cept a few turnovers a game.

Thanks, Jeff. Sorry, I’m late for your GDT.
Not expecting anything from this group of underachieving underachievers. Watching that ridiculous collapse against the Ingalls Sisters was gross.

I have no expectations. Therefore, I will only be disappointed.
Thanks OKie. You never disappoint.

Well, if they’re gonna lose do it full-on. My worst nightmare with this team is that it becomes the Calgary flames. Never quite good, never quite bad. Never a good shot at impact talent in the draft. Suck for Seth. Hearin’ good things about McKinnen kid.

Trouble brewing tonight - -scoring troubles.

since the Wings make rookie goalies look like, well, Pekka Rinne…maybe they can make Rinne look like a rookie…

Ken and Paul said the other night that Nashville is #30 in the league in goals scored. And yet they sit in 5th place in the conference and 10th place overall in the league! All because of Pecker Rinne.

Don’t know if I’ll be in the LB tonight.
Oh, forgot to say, “Thanks, Okie!” Hope you had a fun weekend with the missus.
