Six nights ago, the Wings went into STL on a damn ugly two-game skid, and the prospects for the Wings season were dire. DET looked like world-beaters at STL, winning 5-1 and starting a season high three game win streak they skate into The Joe with tonight.
Things couldn't be worse for STL. The Blues stormed out of the gate, 6-1 in January, but since that time are 0-4-1. In their last four contests (all at home), they've been thrashed: 1-6 to NSH, 1-5 to DET, 5-6 (SO) to ANA, and 1-4 to LAK.
STL have a league-best, ridiculously good, PP; and DET's PK is fourth worst in the league. LGRW
DET: 12 GP, 7-4-1, 15 pts, (6 in Conf, 3 in Central), 33 GF, 32 GA, Last 10 6-3-1 WON 3

So, it’s official, the KK pages now have 40 comments per page instead of the traditional 50 it’s always had.

So what you’re saying is.. That if Pasha gets a gust of wind, and the puck hits a patch of ice for the defense to score and the Wings get away with the subtle interference.. We shall win?
I do enjoy doc. The greatest play every play that’s made. Good stuff. Douche Canoe And Windy Patch O’Ice Subtle Interference can both eat a bag of dicks.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. Your suggestions and critiques are welcome: wphoulihan@gmail.com
We have the advantage because of the Springy Boards! Remember, in every other arena the pucks sink into the boards and get stuck. But damn Detroit, with their wind gusts and ice patches and springy boards and subtle interference they just have all the advantges. Somebody needs to do something about them.
