Devolution

Devolution is a process of decline. Something that has gone from great to good, good to bad.

When devolution occurs, things have gone in a negative direction.

We're not here for a vocabulary lesson. We're here to watch the Detroit Red Wings win games. There have been many times this Season that the Wings should have gained ground on the competition but they did not take advantage.

Sadly, the Wings have gone from hanging in there, to currently battling it out for a wild card spot.

The Wings, with the exception of a few players, have devolved into mediocrity, and it's not acceptable to the many Fans that pay the price to watch the Wings. The Coaching staff is on the hook as well.

Something's gotta give. How do you motivate millionaires?

It's a live blog. Bitches!

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
