Abel to Yzerman

Canucks Visit Joe Louis Arena Tonight

Enough Olympic talk, enough injury talk, enough goalie talk and defensive talk too.

Focus on the game tonight, play a full game and come away with 2 points any way you can.

I said a few games ago the Wings needed 7 out of a possible 10 points and they have 3 at this point.

A win tonight gives them 5 which means they can get away with collecting at least two points while playing the two teams in Florida.

Tonight is key, Vancouver has been playing badly and the Wings will face Eddie Lack in goal tonight.

Get the power play working, get to the net and skate every shift boys.

With that, it's a live blog bitches!

I’ve seen so few games this year, it seems like every time I can watch a game I’ve forgotten how little structure there is these days…

I can’t stand watching our D and sometimes forwards just STAND there behind the net, waiting for forecheckers to get close and force them to make a crappy pass that gets them hemmed in the zone for a while longer.

Well, if she played her hands right she could get 10 inches like Kate did last night.  If you have seen her commercials you have heard her say, “I’m getting to like winter.”

You’re welcome.

Hey Capt’n, how did the party go?
Posted by calquake on 02/03/14 at 08:14 PM ET

Great. 28 showed and there was just enough pulled pork left over for me to have for dinner tonight when I get home. The wife’s home made corn bread and honey butter was a huge hit. I took the pork shoulder off after 15.5 hours, pulled it before the game started and kept it warm in a chafing dish. Actually got to see national anthem and the entire first half. Only took me ten years of hosting this shindig to figure that out. We had a Seattle transplant in attendance and she was really happy. So was the dog wearing a Seahawks jersey.

I know Peyton said he wasn’t embarrassed, but I was embarrassed for him.

How was your shindig?

The year I hunted on a high fence place in Texas fill of exotic African critters, you could shoot a zebra for $8k. Almost worth it to cap a few of these sucktastic refs…..

not unheard of to have kind of a flat first. This is their third game in four nights.  There will be some spurts, just hope that Vancouver doesn’t get some jump while their still flat.

Gold: SWE
Silver: CAN
Bronze: USA

Just my initial thoughts based on absolutely nothing at all right now. I’ll know more after having seen the teams play a couple games.
