Been Nice Knowing You Boys…Now Stay Out Of Detroit

As the Emperor posted a bit ago...realignment's a reality.  Hopefully, that means Gary's been beaten down enough to give his dwarf consent to let the Wings head back East where we/they belong.

We like you Edmonton, and we like you Calgary. We dig you Vancouver and Anaheim you'll always be garbage...but it's time to say sayonara.

The Oil at home tonite and we'd really like to say we won't see this again with any consistency for some time to come.  They're young, good, fast and they live way farther left than our boys ever need to travel.

Ian White is sitting because he is, much like Gary, small in stature.  He's been sitting for a while and he's upset. We get it. But the D's improved since the little man sat down.

I'm telling you absolutely nothing you don't already know.  So crack a few and let's Live Blog this biotttchhhhhh, bitches.

I was going to start doing a Peloton of Suck chart, but it woud just be ridiculous.

Instead, take the Western Conference teams, eliminate the top and bottom three, then put the rest in a big pile.

The result is a slimy nest of snakes all intertwined with each other that gives Gary an erection.

I kept thinking about how the Oil have all those top draft picks and everything and how the Wings youngin’s played circles around them.

In fairness to Edmonton’s excellent crop of youngsters, they were saddled with the likes of Zetterberg and Datsyuk defending them all night. Meanwhile, Edmonton brass thought it prudent to throw a fourth round pick for a forward that even the Maple Leafs didn’t want. Meanwhile Linus Omark is playing in Switzerland because of how badly they’ve managed that team.

Still, watching the Tatar-Andersson-Eaves line do work is damn fun.

It is that.

I’m also digging Miller-Emmerton-22;  “the roaring twenty’s”

But I can’t wait to have the HEMI Line (Miller-Helm-Eaves) back together again.

What a frickin’ mass of third and fourth liners.  That maybe a pleasant headache for Uncle Mike, but it sure doesn’t help Dangles at all.

And then we still have Samuelsson waiting to come back!  Holy fuch…

His recent injury as he was about to renter the line up was a terrific break, I think.

Two players I’d just as soon not come back active on the roster, Samuelsson and Coliaicovo.  Nothing against them, but the cohesion and energy on the ice right now is providing one of the best defensive runs we’ve seen in years and shouldn’t be messed with.

I would make room for Helm immediately, just to contradict myself, because that isn’t likely for weeks anyway and by then some more rearranging will likely be necessry.

I got home middle of the night, and saw only the last 6 minutes of the 3rd period on the second FSD broadcast of the game.

When Abby potted the open net goal, my first thought was ” I bet they had a field day with that at A2Y”, and laughed hard at my stomach.

Sure enough…

Maybe the EN is just the proverbial offensive shot in the arm for Abber.

Aaaannnd who am I kidding?

That’s probably about right.  He looked to have another goal earlier headed for an open corner but Cleary deflected it up into the netting at the last minute.  Thank you for that.

Center Ice HD

Comcast here has tomorrow’s Wings game on a new channel GMHD2.  They have never had NHL Center Ice in HD before, but this year have one or two games a night in HD in addition to the regular channels in SD.

You may have had it already, but if you haven’t checked into higher numbered channels this year you may not be aware they have some HD channels for hockey.  The Center Ice channels are normally 770-780 here, the CI HD channels appear up around 790 or 792, not well publicized. It is a world of difference in HD.
