"They are a good team, and no matter what they do in the offseason they are good," Vasicek said. "They have showed that in the last 10 years."
Whoa. Easy on the disdain Josef. And let’s go ahead and make that 13 years, just for fun.
Yes, Bubba poses a threat. Yes, the 8-game series will probably determine the division. No, Bubba hasn’t played in nearly three months. Yes, when they have played they haven’t lost on the road since indoor plumbing became the norm in Tennessee back on October 12th.
So the war the NHL wants starts tonite with the Wings up two points, Bubba with two games in hand. Both teams are on fire. The disdain factor. The Chelios/Kariya continuation of hostilities. Markov facing his old mates (not exactly a new experience considering he’s played for 26 teams). Vokoun vs Hasek. A full house at the Joe and 6 people in Tennessee outside Nashville tuned in with rabbit ears.
Welcome back Bubba.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. Your suggestions and critiques are welcome: wphoulihan@gmail.com
