It will be difficult for the Detroit Red Wings to replace Tomas Tatar's offense for the remainder of the season, but his departure creates an opportunity for Tyler Bertuzzi.
Coach Jeff Blashill said Bertuzzi will replace Tatar on the line with Dylan Larkin and Andreas Athanasiou, at least for Wednesday's game at St. Louis (8 p.m., NBC Sports Network exclusive), and they hope beyond.
"Tyler Bertuzzi will increase his minutes by a lot," Blashill said. "When Tyler first came up and there were injuries I thought he played very well. I thought he slipped a little bit, opened the door for some guys to take his spot, and then didn't get much of an opportunity. I think all Tyler needs is opportunity and he's going to get tons of opportunity."
