You Want Obscurity?

Let’s not kid ourselves. The signs are now pointing to Minnesota. The Wild signed some kid whose friends with both Suter and Parise. Suter’s agent shared a plane with the Wild brass on his way (or on his return) to Madison. Brian Lawton guaranteed last night that Minnesota was the place for Suter, and all the chatter is starting to lean toward both going to one place.
And if that place is Minnesota?
Well, it’s better than Chicago. Much better than Pittsburgh (unbelievably, a worse blue line than ours). These two guys go to Minnesota and there is no clear-cut favorite. Not because everyone is equally good, but because each team has huge holes.
Go to Minnesota, young men. Head there for the quiet and the solitude, the lack of glare. Go ahead. But don’t ever forget you had your chances, boys.
Today’s the day. And I’m not optimistic, but who the hell knows? I could be running around naked with a sparkler in my mouth by 1700 IST (IWO Standard Time), celebrating with a warm PBR and a tattoo of Parise and Suter embraced in a figure-four leg lock, both wearing Red Wing diapers.
Comment as you see fit, but keep it juvenile please.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. Your suggestions and critiques are welcome: wphoulihan@gmail.com
I will give you that. Those goalies face a lot of shots, too.
Time will tell how this pans out. A lot of money. As a WIngs fan, amongst the bitterness of losing out in the Suter sweepstakes is a small sense of relief our squad did not put so many eggs in one basket. The Wings success has been built on being able to roll four lines and six D. We still have a lot of money in the coffers, an owner who wants to spend it, and plenty of good players out there to plug holes and upgrade.
You guys want Franzen?
