Yes…Live Blog It. But Don’t Watch This Game. It Will Be Too Painful.

I don't know how we can do it. Scientifically, it's probably impossible. But one way or another? We need to Live Blog this game without...actually...watching...it.
You guys take days like this way too seriously. Losses affect you in obscene ways, and usually the consequences are hygienic in nature. And that's not good. Today will be horrible. Chicago is too good. They haven't lost in Detroit in 8 games. They lead the league in scoring, defense, minor in possession offenses and specialty play. They're going to win the Cup, the Jennings, the Clemente award.
The Wings have no chance.
So you can't watch it. Don't even listen to it. Just comment when you feel a tingle. Or don't comment at all. Read something. Write your congressman a ditty and tell him the Navy actually, you know, belongs at sea and it might be a good idea to, you know, get his fat ass back to Washington and send us there...to sea, that is. That's a sequestration reference, by the way.
But don't watch this shit show. And a shit show it will be. Detroyet doesn't have the firepower. Our young defense is just not stout enough. Our coach is overrated and their coach is a savant.
They have Hossa. We have Franzen. Repeat that to yourself five times and then end it all.
The mountain is too steep. The only thing the Wings possibly have going for them...
...is the fact that they simply win games like this. They do and you know it. You've been looking forward to this with calm confidence when all the smart kids say we should dread it.
You don't dread it. Because you know.
Wings win. In regulation. By two goals.
Forget what I said about not watching this. That was stupid. Watch this one. It's a Live Blog bitches.

Franzen on the pk? Eeek.

Didn’t he tie the horse to the top of his Rambler wagon, tie Tagg to the top of the horse, and drive to Canada on a road trip?

Except he only got 47% of the way there.
Capt. send me an e-mail with your address so I can ship you that Seger concert CD.

I used to hear about the donkey show down in mexico but never found a desire to actually see it. Now I’m forced to watch a Zebra Show. Oy Vey.

Horse. Shit.

At least they haven’t found that in Ikea meatballs or Burger King burgers.
Yet.

Cheers on that one Chief.

try to drink every time Doc calls the wrong player if you can keep up
Posted by MoreShoot on 03/03/13 at 01:47 PM ET
Credit where credit is rarely due: Mule poked a puck off a stick in front of the net to prevent a good shot. That’s, uh, something.
Posted by shanetx from Floydada, Texas on 03/03/13 at 01:47 PM ET
It seems like they’re playing on a 100 foot rink. Does Chicago even have a goalie on the ice?
Posted by CaptainDennisPolonich from Warm and sunny SoCal on 03/03/13 at 01:48 PM ET
If Franzen is on the PK, I’m really glad I’m stuck at work right now unable to watch the game. I’m not sure I could handle seeing something like that.

Hawks fans at the bar weren’t even sure what that penalty was

How’s things in the Panhandle? I was stationed over in Clovis for 14 years….“sorta” miss the area.

But on a reduced budget. They stopped paying for groceries and vehicle maintenance while at the same time expanding the number of channels in their cable tv subscription.

And then the Mules clearing attempt barely made center ice. Musta been exhausted from that lil puck swipe

Give them time…their bandwagon may not have come with a “Newcomer’s Guide”

shoot the puck, Abby.
Posted by klank on 03/03/13 at 12:43 PM ET
Dear Justin-
Pavel Datsyuk is a playmaker. You shooting the puck is the play.
Posted by monkey from Finland on 03/03/13 at 01:51 PM ET
that’s the kind of play we need to see more of from Kindl

Woah. You actually recognize the name of this town?
It’s pretty ugly here. Historically bad two year drought (including about 18 months with zero precipitation here northeast of Lubbock).
This winter has been refreshing, though. Had some snow and rain the last few weeks. Still, small towns like this one are shriveling up.
Posted by shanetx from Floydada, Texas on 03/03/13 at 01:52 PM ET
Unbeaten streaks are good for the NHL and good for NBC.
Expect a straight-up face-humping by the refs this afternoon.
/Complaining about the refs while not watching the game.

Musta been some of that subtle interference.

You’ve seen enough previously to make that statement with a certain amount of confidence.

Like I said..14 years in Clovis. I did alot of flying while I was there and we used to try to hit little places just to see them.
Got friends in Clovis and Amarillo still whov’e told me about dried up aquifers all over the place.

Dear Abby.
Please go to the fourth line and stay there.
Thank you.

What the hell.
I see a PK without Ericsson on the ice and it worries me greatly.
These are the times that try men’s souls.

Doesn’t that have something to do with horses and Mitt Romney?

Yet still a thoroughly needless, stupid, and unproductive play

How do I tell someone they don’t have what it takes to do their job and maybe they should consider a demotion?

Cessna 152,172,182 and a Piper Arrow II. Worked on my instrument rating and Commercial license.

Eaves tackled at the blue line while trying to stay onside, hell that’s even subtle. No call though.
