from Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press,
Tyler Bertuzzi and Anthony Mantha will have a chance to play some more hockey this spring.
The two forwards are among Detroit Red Wings who have been invited to play for Team Canada at next month’s IIHF World Championship. Andreas Athanasiou also has been invited, and is expected to go pending his health, general manager Ken Holland told the Free Press on Monday.
The U.S. team is similarly waiting to find out if Dylan Larkin is healthy enough to make a third straight appearance. Both Larkin and Athanasiou played in the Wings’ season finale, April 6, but had nagging injuries.
