Why Settle For Less?

12/14/2015 at 7:00pm EST

Frustrating. That's the best way to describe blowing a lead in the third period and having to settle for one point. Sure, there are some that will tout that the Wings are on a streak having gained at least one point in the last ten or so games. That is one way to look at it.

And yes, one more point in the standings it is a good thing. But, one point is settling for less, and the more it happens the easier it becomes to fool yourself into thinking it is acceptable. Well it's not. As Fans, we are weary of watching the Wings settle for anything less than winning in regulation.

As players, the Wings should never settle for anything less than the absolute best effort which usually leads to winning.

Two points. Easy peasy. Now get it done.

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
