Watching The Key Games Tonight

The Detroit Red Wings trail the Philadelphia Flyers by 2 points for the last wild card spot in the East.  Both teams have played 65 games.

Tonight, San Jose visits Columbus and the Blue Jackets hold down the 3rd spot in the Metropolitan.  They lead Detroit by 2 points, with Detroit and Columbus both playing 65 games.

Florida plays in Tampa and the Lightning hold the first wild card spot, leading Detroit by 4 points with the same number of games.

The New York Rangers play in Minnesota and the Rangers hold the second spot in the Metropolitan.  They have a 3 point lead on the Wings and have played one more game.

Toronto plays the LA Kings, they hold the second spot in the Atlantic and lead the Wings by 7 points and have played 2 more games than Detroit.

Put your good luck hats on!

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977.  No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y.  Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation.  There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature.  Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. Your suggestions and critiques are welcome: wphoulihan@gmail.com
