Pavel Datsyuk,the former Red Wing superstar fans called "The Magic Man," built this stunning lakeside house during the 14 years he played hockey in Detroit.
On the outside, it is a limestone castle, even to the tall, skinny turret where a vertical slit forms the front window — a spot where hidden archers could repel an enemy.
But step inside and the home turns super sleek — curving walls, curving glass, white marble, granite, porcelain tile, lacquered zebra wood. Fine woods glow on accent walls.
Spaces are defined by curves, including the three-story curving stairs. It’s a unique house, designed by architect Alexander Bogaerts.
