The Wings posted one video of Raymond and Blashill, the same as BSD posted.

I do wish the Wings did more.  Many of the teams stream on YouTube their post-game interviews, we are lucky we get a complete video, one that is not edited.

I can exhale knowing Raymond’s alright.  Boys looked great.  Exciting game to watch.  Raymond and Seider.. are gonna be the talk of the town by mid-season.  Their smarts, patience and maturity along with execution is unreal.  Amazing how young they are and how quick they’re learning.  Really trying to savor their come up before the bandwagon gets full again, hah!

Aside from whatever was going on with the PP, that was wall to wall great hockey to be proud of.  Some strong neutral zone play lead to great team D overall.

Larkin is this teams engine, without question.

Seider is smart as a whip.

Greiss is absolutely dialed in He is just so economic in his movements, and calm.

And that wrister by Raymond was sizzling.  Hopefully it leads to more.

The only downside to this one is the league continuing to have their heads up their collective asses with boarding calls.

from Ted Kulfan of the Detroit News,

“It felt it great, I had some looks tonight and it was nice (to score),” Raymond said. “I will save the puck. It’s a special one. It was a great night.”

The fact the goal triggered the Wings’ second victory this season (2-0-1) in a tight game was also important.

“You always want to score, especially when I had some real nice looks and in this type of game, you want to score to help the team,” Raymond said. “You want to get that first goal, as well, it’s something really special.”

“They’re two incredible players, both on and off the ice, who help me a lot,” Raymond said. “It feels like we’re starting to connect and know each other out there. They’re great players and easy to play with.”

Coach Jeff Blashill formed the line during the exhibition season, after Jakub Vrana (shoulder surgery) was lost for four months, and the Larkin line has blended well.

“I like the dynamic between the three of them,” Blashill said. “Bert is real gritty and go gets the pucks and Larks has the speed and Lucas is a cerebral player. It’s a good combination between the three of them.

“We’ve had a strong four-line presence and we’ll need to do that moving forward.”

After Zadina’s comment last game they might be using more diligence so it doesn’t happen again. Then after the new players go through a PC info meeting they will make more available. Just a guess.

So, when is a good time to have the conversation with Bertuzzi about being mindful of the situations he puts himself in the post whistle scrums? I know it is part of a gritty game, but I cringe every time. A couple of key injuries have a strong possibility of taking this exciting , young team straight into a road ditch.

Hudson Bay Rules needs to be a legit movie.
The producers of Letter Kenny need to get on that.

Great goal for the first goal in NHL, Larkin actually scored a pretty similar one for his first NHL goal.
