This is turning into something really cool, George.  I’m continually astounded by the 19’s ginormous talents.

Here’s another submission.  The numbers can be changed to reflect your favorite Wing perhaps.  I tried to replicate the back of a sweater with the arms folded back though it’s kind of hard with the constraints of 490X75

Oh holy crap, that’s a lot of options.  My vote stays with Jennemy’s first submission.

+1, JJ.  I’ll stick with Jenn’s first submission with the following alteration:

“Biased, Unprofessional, and Verbose.”

And in the Soviet Bloc propaganda font.

I like the freak’s 1st submission.
Perhaps the logo just needs to be better placed if you go with the 2nd.

Sticking with Jennemy’s first submission, but I do agree that it needs to be “Biased. Unprofessional. Verbose.”

I’d go with Jenn’s first one, but TheFreak’s first one is closely behind.

George, I don’t envy you for having to pick. They’re all really good.

I originally liked Jenn’s offering, but The Freak’s first banner has taken top spot for my money.

I still like the suggestions to make the tagline read, “Biased, Unprofessional, Verbose,” but whatever.

Rotating banners? I.e. Change it every week or two weeks?

Ok, so everyone seems to NOT understand why George put UNbiased.

1) It’s ironical because the “unprofessional” follows immediately after.

2) The authoritative title “The Malik Report,” especially in the blocky fonts, meshes well with unbiased. Unprofessional and verbose cancels that, which leads to small ha-ha.

3) Un, un ver is a lot more Germanic than B, U, V, which sounds like Butt, which just gives announces his anal fetish and that’s just not necessary for a banner because that’s what the comments are for.

4) George actually is unbiased insofar as he critiques the Wings and their decisions, including business choices like keeping ticket prices high. (Remember his guest post on A2Y a few years ago blasting the organization for this, well before the rest of the country caught up after the financial crisis)

I like Jen’s second submission. An ode to our Russians, European drafting, George’s dedication to translation work, Wing propaganda, and if you’ve ever read Soviet era social theory, an announcement of its brilliant, sometimes dizzying, unfiltered sentence structure.

Viva La Cuppy!

and good luck to mrfluffy, if it’s any consolation you’re in company with a lot of other good folk.  Perhaps if the government had not confiscated $800,000 out of the pockets of Americans to spend it on this:

That’s enough to buy 20 GMC Arcadia SUVs, 4 very nice houses and 1 week with a hooker in Vegas.  Think of the American jobs lost in our government’s attempt to teach African males to wash their Johnson.

Since you asked:

I vote for a rotating banner too but if I have to pick:

1) WingFaninBeanLand’s Jersey plate
2) Clark edited by RWBill’s Red Wing font
3) Eric in Phoenix’s Howie’s pads.

Also, I may be in the minority here but I’m not a fan of the phrase (or phrases in general) on the banner.  IMO go with just the name of the blog

I like Jenn’s second the best.

Like the font.
Like the deep red background.
Like the red on red logo to give it some depth.
Like the off-center design to give it a little movement.
Like the nod to the Wings heritage of Russians in particular and European-born players in general.
