DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today recalled defenseman Brian Lashoff from the American Hockey League’s Grand Rapids Griffins.
Lashoff, 28, has not skated for the Red Wings in 2018-19 but has totaled 123 NHL games with the club since 2012-13, tallying 13 points (2-11-13) and 57 penalty minutes, while also appearing in eight NHL Stanley Cup Playoff games. The Albany, N.Y., native has skated in 17 games for the Griffins this season, logging three points (0-3-3), 19 penalty minutes and a plus-two rating. Lashoff has played parts of 10 seasons for the Griffins since making his professional debut during the 2008-09 season. The 6-foot-3, 219-pound defenseman has tallied 87 points (21-66-87), a plus-18 rating and 213 penalty minutes in 417 games with the Griffins, while recording 19 points (5-4-19) in 73 AHL postseason games for Grand Rapids.
