That aboot sums up the prevailing attitude around here today. Too many times this season and for the past few seasons we all go through the same thought process. What is going on in Detroit? Why can't the Wings manage to put together a sixty minute effort? It's not too much to ask? Is it?
We haven't seen a true winning streak in at least two years, and after losing to Florida the other night, as we stood on the precipice of a bona fide, the Wings dashed our hopes yet again.
Now, we are starting over. Tonight's game is like taking four steps back, to what should/could/better be the new beginning of a bona fide streak. Once again stringing together one win at a time, until we reach the magic number five. The rest will fall into place if we can reach the five wins in a row mark.
But first, we have to play the Stars. Do not underestimate them. This is not a cake walk.
