One of the CRAZIEST games you will ever see. Regardless of team. Just wow. Laughing the entire last 10 minutes.

I feel bad for those that are boycotting or dont watch. That implosion was a thing of beauty.

I never saw 5 min major for this type of slash, but still stupidity by Bert. And Nyqust/Z combo in OT never fails.
I would definitely bench Nyquist and Bert on Sunday and play Booth and Wit.

I’m not able to see the videos. How did petr look?

Considering nyi needs goalie help, tonight would have been a good night for one of our goals to show up.

I dont think you can put much on Razr. What a sell job by clutterbuck and a horrible fail of a PK

Z said he never played in a game like this before. My question, who was the last team to score 4! Goals on the same PP and when? My guess would be The Oilers in the 80s probably. Someone tell Abdelkader he is not a UFC fighter he is a hockey player. I was rooting fo Boychuk when he was on his back getting attacked.

The only kind of questionable goal Petr gave up was the first one through the 5-hole, but even then the shooter had him all alone after a bad Kronwall turnover.  The D in general was real soft in front of Mrazek all night.  I think DDK was wearing a shirt of raw eggs under his jersey and didn’t want to crack any of them.  I think a baby could have overpowered DDK tonight.

I think Mrazek was very good till the 5 min PP when the whole unit collapsed including him.

Not able to watch the game so I can only go by the comments of fellow posters.

What happened to the vaunted PKers? Aren’t these the 200-footers who compete hard every night?

Did Blashill call a timeout after the second PP goal against?

Where was the leadership during this time because it sounds like the team panicked.

Did the Isles have possession of the puck every second of that PP? If they did, that shows a lack of focus and engagement by the Wings.

Will Kenny NOW finally throw in the towel on this cluster&%k of a season? If not, he’s delusional.

In fair disclosure, I’m not a Petr fan so judge as you see fit.

I thought he had happy feet and was getting lucky along with Dailey bailing him out a couple of times.

I also think Blashill blew that PK.  He changed his kill, sat AA and coached scared, the team fed off that and collapsed.

A match penalty?  That wasn’t much more than a love tap.  Clutterbuck should get an Emmy for overacting.  Todd needs to be aware at all times that with the name"Bertuzzi” on the back of his sweater, he’s always going to be in the crosshairs.

Everyone has moaned about the match penalty. The call was made by a linesman. A linesman can only call a major, or match penalty. The referees didn’t see it. The linesman saw the slash and saw the acting of Clutterbuck and made a call. I understand Clutterbuck acted and embellished the play but the bottom line is Bertuzzi should have skated away and he will most likely be suspended or at minimum fined for that slash. He is at a crossroads now he can buckle down and play the game right and use his skill and grit to score and play solid team defense or he can continue these shenanigans and be known leaguewide as a goon and as someone that can be taken out of the game mentally by veteran antics. As for the entire team, the only hope is that we can make some deals in the next 10 days to shift the balance of this team because this mix of players together is not working.  It is painfully obvious that this team is way worse than we ever thought.

I guess we just throw this game out in our discussions of Peter’s stats.

Shouldn’t we be pissed the wings got the one point?

Well that game was certainly one of the strangest I’ve ever watched. Bertuzzi will learn from this. Yes, the 5 minutes call was total BS. But for once I agree with what Blashill said in his postgame. With the game basically won at that stage, you just have to be much more disciplined than that. Don’t give the officials the chance to make any call. The PK was abysmal. I don’t know that I have seen a PK give up that many quality chances on one PP, even a 5 minute one. Really bad. Petr was under siege, not sure what more he could have done on any of the PP or the OT goal. And for Howe, his stats over his last 8 games, including last night, are now .934 save % and 2.00 GAA, record 4-1-2, 10/14 points.
