Quick Recap- Detroit Red Wings/Ottawa Senators

In the first period, the Senators outshot the Wings 10-6 but the Wings scored the only goal.  Hronek found Bertuzzi at the side of the net who tipped in the pass.

Period two started of well with Larkin making it 2-0 but Ottawa scored the next two goals to make it 2-2 after forty minutes.

No scoring in the third and in overtime the Wings had four glorious chances in five seconds but nada.

In the shootout, Larkin with the only goal, Wings win 3-2.

This was one of those games you may have visited usa online casinos and I would not have blamed you.

2nd PP unit came out during the 2nd period.

I turn to my father in law and ask him who the best player on the ice is.

He turns to the ice…scans the players…and the unit is:

Filppula-Nielsen-G. Smith-Erne-Bowey

He turns back to me after about 3 seconds and says, “Bernier.”

im still laughing about it.

We got lucky with the win. Two goals in the first 30 minutes, and then we just sat back. After Larkin carried the puck into the Ottawa net for a 2-0 lead, we didn’t muster anymore aggressive play until the brief moments we were 3-on-3 during the overtime period.

Bernier carried this team to a victory, simply put. Larkin and Bert scoring was great, but Ottawa could have put this game way out of hand if not for Bernier.
