I got no axe to grind with Dekyser. Guy went through major back surgery, and is a heart & soul guy who gives everything he’s got. However, I just have vivid memories of similar players late in their careers (Clearly, Abby, Kronwall…) who were also formerly heart & soul guys, but couldn’t keep up anymore and shouldn’t have been in the lineup. Right now Dekyser is not one of the eight best options on defense. Good guy or not.

Hronek has been weak this season so far. Pushed off the puck, not taking the man out in front of the net, cost the Wings multiple goals against so far. Plus, good excuse for Blash to get 70 in the lineup

I saw Hronek jumping into the offensive play way too much in his last game Kate. That may have led to his benching.

Both have valid points here. I did notice the jumping up, as well as being pushed around, but, I figured one game would be enough to send a message.

NOBODY CARES
I’ve cared since the late 1950’s when my brother and I started playing hockey in our basement. I taught myself to shoot left handed because Alex Delvecchio, my favorite player, was a southpaw. Over the years, there’s been a fair amount of thick and an equal amounts of thin. Win or lose, I’m in for life.
