No Matter How Soft And Innocent Those Blue Eyes May Be? Don’t Trust Them or Her

Bullet Bob Seger was a young man in the early 70's. He, because he felt change would do him good, headed west.  It was there that his world crumbled when he put a lot of stock into some surface emotions.  Yes, I know.  Young, dumb and full of...enthusiasm.  She swindled him though.  She led him on and then crushed his soul.

But don't blame her. Oh no.

She may have been a conniving skank, but BB fell for it. The power of the P, I tell you.

So one morning Seger woke up alone and realized life would be better with a harder edge.

Which leads us to Game 2.  A harder edged Wing team, led by a psychopath, or at least complemented by one.  They posed little threat in Game 1, from what Gary would let me see.  One power play goal and minimal chances even strength.  And that's why we absolutely hate the playoffs.  Four straight games of dynamic offense.  Four straight games that brought hope into our lives, then one little episode to remind us that hope isn't a plan it's just a wish.

So the plan...the plan has to be harder. Edgier. Tougher. Meaner.  And as a result, more chances. More shooting. More stress for the Swiss kid.  How would you handle the pressure if a toothless serial killer was all up in your grill, his ass wagging, stick tormenting, heaving and rumbling.

Todd Bertuzzi will not win this game for us, but he poses a threat. And we need threats.

It's a Live Blog, bitches.

So what’s the verdict on Bertuzzi?  My feeling was he was basically a non-factor…

Posted by Primis on 05/03/13 at 01:23 AM ET

which, for a guy who played his first game in months…is OK.

invisible is OK sometimes.  didn’t do anything huge, but didn’t *#$%@& up anything huge either.

I’ve watched the goal a few times and holy shit Filpulla.  that was a sick toe drag around the Anaheim d-man’s outstretched stick, and a backhand pass on the money.  WOW.

Still…DaKaiser out for the rest of the year? Sith spit…put Lashoff in. White should have no business playing another game in the Winged Wheel.

Fil made a great patient play.

The “veteran” D, White and Coliaicovo, haven’t been on the ice in our best stretch.  One of them or Lashoff will have to step in.

If Babcock wants out-let passes he should go with Coca- Cola (made out of glass ) because that is why we supposedly brought him here.

He wasn’t on the playoff roster at the cutoff time, I can’t imagine they can.  Blame EDM for that in the 80’s when they had that one Finn (I think) they kept bringing over only for the playoffs.

Remember when we put Quincey in there in the 07 playoffs. He sure impressed me more back then than he’s doin in his 2nd go-around and that’s unbelievable to me. I feel Lashoff would be Kyle Quincey 07 if we put him in there. Playin on adrenaline. Knowin he’s got no business bein in there.  Think he’d play great.

Yeah, late rounds of playoffs for one LB, it’s gone over 1000, I remember.

Wait until games 3 and 4 when people are actually awake during them.  I’m betting one or both top 1000 at this rate.

Morning, everyone.

Serious bummer about DaKaiser.  But the way the Quacks were gooning it up, we’ll be lucky if he’s the only one injured.  Apparently, Mule was in the quiet room after the end of the 3rd, but was deemed to be OK.  And Abby - a punch to the head from Selanne and that awful slam into the boards.  Kid is tough as nails, apparently.

I vote for Lashoff.  I know he has no playoff experience, but the Griffin/Wings have been great.  Why put the always delicate Cola in there against the huge Quack goons?

WHAT a pass by Wally to Nike.

NBCSucks was just outstanding last night - again, eh?  We almost missed the opening puck drop of our game because Pee-Air was interviewing some Caps player, but they couldn’t cut away fast enough after the end of our game.

NHL and NBC both suck.

LET’S GO RED WINGS !!!!!

Playoff Game Ruminations…

I’m so hoarse I can barely type.

Drinks and a little early dinner with the Cap’n….good stuff. Birthday drink….he’s like 40 decades old.

Pre Game Cleary did something really cool.  Posted up a photo of the little dude on FB.

DuhUcks….Housewives of Orange County on skates…..bitch, bitch, bitch

Seat right next to the Zamboni entrance

Surrounded by hostile DuhUck fans…..nicely dressed though.

Snow Girls kept yelling “Where’s RW Bill?”. The guy is a legend in the OC..

Teemu skated with a hard on all night….not that anyone noticed.

I hate Corey Perry.

Ice was a mess…..lots of water after the Zamboni run. 98 degrees when I walked in at 6:00 pm

Dats was mauled non stop

Same with Abby….taking runs at him all night long

3rd & 4th lines looked good….when used.

Del Keyser is a keeper…..write the check.

Unibomber….he lumbers along, looking, waiting, and just when you think “Why is he…?” he skates to the corner and does unmentionable things…gets the puck, and leaves one pissed off DuhUck in his wake. Smooooth…...

iPhone 4s….I think the s stands for shite.  No posting from Pond…then the battery died.

Bitchslap thrown outta the face off circle more times that a diseased hooker at Mustang Ranch.

3rd period they just ran outta gas…scrambling around

Perry hiked up his big girl panties and…..missed.

Teemu looks like an angry bird. The useless little red one…..

65 got schooled on the Bitchslap goal. You could sense it about to happen.

Tied up…..The. Place. Erupted.

4th period started around 1:00 AM EST….Thanks Gary. Ass.

End of game intermission the DuhUck fans were all bubbly….like a puppy that found it’s ...uh, genitals.

BOOM!  Nike wins it!  I cheered! Those around me did their best DuhUck scowl.  Making friends and influencing people in Section 218.  Suck it.

and most important….the wife enjoyed the game.
