Nice Schedule, Little Fella. Live Blog Another Example Of Gary’s JV Idiocy

Go back with me, won’t you? Back, back, back to October when we so redolently pointed out the fact that the Wings were being scheduled nothing but weekend games in order to pad owners’ wallets early. We mentioned it here and next thing you know the trolls came out and said mean things.
“Little Gary’s letting “us” play hockey again”
Man is that self-indulgent and whiny.
Is Bettman the scheduler? Is a 5 game break in October really a huge blow? I believe a comment section is there to keep a writer a bit honest.

Actually, the comment section is there to..well, I’m not sure but I just know that I dig it and always have. My response was brilliant and long-winded.
He’s the commissioner. Therefore he’s the scheduler, disciplinarian, overseer of transactions, janitor. Every bit of it. It’s all his responsibility. It’s called leadership and it’s why he “earns” those 7million every year.
Two five-day breaks. Not just one. Two, in the first three weeks of the season. No big deal now but wait until Jan and Feb when we have all those games crammed together and the injuries start piling up.

Now, to present day. Luckily our injury situation is better than it has been in years. But tonite’s a prime example of why that could change quickly. Last night in Hockeytown, tonite in Dallas where Gary wanted to build from the South up. Detroit, Dallas all in 48 hours…when the Wings stewed and sat over the course of two five-day breaks in the first three weeks of the season.
Nice schedule, Gary. Nice league, toad.
Live Blog it, bitches and hope for health.
12 in ‘12, baby Jesus willing.

Evening one and all, just caught up on all the work that needed doing, so here I am again.
So, Homer knocks one in, Conks undoes all of his good work and the Jersey’s are white, safe to say, this one is going to be “squirmy”.

Tying up the man without the puck not interference? Oh, I see.

These Stars announcers are sooooo bad. they said there shouldn’t have been on a call on the stuart being boarded play because “he got up”
I think the color guy actually said “let up”, not “get up”
Gotta cripple a guy to get called? Sounds like great announcers.
lol, that’s great

Yes he said that, but it doesn’t change the initial infraction IMO.
Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!

Thank God for the Pistons updates. I, for one, have SUCH a hard time deciding whether to watch hoops or hockey.

Being severely outworked by an undermanned team and paying the price for it. Seems we’ve seen this movie before.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. Your suggestions and critiques are welcome: wphoulihan@gmail.com

I can’t believe how much time and space he had to make that shot.
